QUOTE: A very powerful lecture about the signs and events believed to precede the Day of Judgment in Islam. Yasir Qadhi, a respected Islamic scholar, brings clarity and relevance to these prophetic narrations. It's your gateway to understanding the significance of these signs in today's world and how they can shape our spiritual journey.
END QUOTE. Worth taking 43:48 minutes to hear things from a Muslim perspective, clear and concise but apart from that, as with all religious persuasions, it comes down to being given no choice other than heaven or hell e.g. so long as one adheres to the scriptures and believes them, and believes that the only way to God or Allah is via the prophet, messenger or messiah, your everlasting life in paradise will be guaranteed. The alternative is a life in hell for eternity. Whatever religious persuasion, the message is always the same and cannot be interpreted as other than blackmail by way of sowing fear in the minds of the population. To the religious, people who do not subscribe to any religious doctrine apparently don't exist, or at best are written off as atheists or |
several other lower species, the believer entitles him/herself a higher intelligence even when hardly questioning the context of their religious books, leave alone understand it.
The final analysis is that religious people have little tolerance for those who go about their life without the stigma imposed on the vulnerable in this society by the religious institutions, while the word tolerance in religious sermons walks hand in hand with intolerance toward all who disagree. Religions are inbred over hundreds of millennia, cashed in by the power obsessed few to set themselves up on a pedestal and live their delusive fantasies amid the royals and banking elite, off the backs of those doing it tough at the low end of the hierarchy. |

Freedom of press, or expression, is the stuff the internet is made of, e.g. with reservations for censorship by democratically elected authorities. The rules were more relaxed at the times when people just sat around telling stories for pastime. But after that, when God created everything and wrote the books, people had to learn not to tell the truth about anyone or anything or lose their heads.

Pastor giving a lengthy sermon, mostly a very
boring biblical rendition of the reasons why Jews and Muslims are the source of God's relentless wrath on human beings. No doubt the author of the Qur'an got the inspiration for his dreams from the Bible 1400 years after the story tellers in that book elaborated on the Egyptian hieroglyphics elaborated from the Sumerian wars, Gods and war lords mythologies some 5-6 thousand years ago. |

The above stories establish that ancient story telling has left the world with a religious/political legacy that has become so engraved in the human psyche over untold millennia that change can hardly be possible anymore. People fight, kill and die over a piece of real estate because of the imaginary stories written in prophetic scriptures.
Everything revolves around the "Promised Land", or the so called "Holy Land", notwithstanding the wars over industrial/political strategic monopolies which are nonetheless part of the religious obsession for rule over humanity, notwithstanding the wars for wars sake, notwithstanding the war arsenal industry which has grown to be the world's one and only economic system, a multinational weapons exchange without borders.
Deep down, most people just want to live their ephemeral existence in peace, either in their place of birth or elsewhere. Insisting on living in a so called "Holy Land", a place covered in millenniums of bloodshed, for most rational thinking people is not a feasible option.
What does one do in the "Holy Land", Palestine, Jerusalem? Just sit around sidewalk cafés, walk around the bazaars in and out curio shops, buy Jesus on the cross necklaces, watch all those "Biblical" places where people lived over 2,000 years ago with nothing else to do but write stories, wage wars and predict the future based on their own failures to live in Peace?
There never was Peace in the entire world, least of all in the "Holy Land". But, we have our faith in "the Good Lord", we talk to God, Jesus, Allah, without ever seeing them in their so endlessly portrayed materialized shape or form, we convince ourselves that the illusion printed in our minds is actually there. But we're kidding ourselves. We humans can't find Peace, not with ourselves, not with each other, not with anything else that resembles a living thing. It's 2023 AD and we still choose to live in the primitive medieval era to keep our minds from any kind of progressive thinking.
Technology? What about technology? Technology has brought this civilization yet more false concepts to be entertained by. Now a handful of high fliers can explore the Universe for Life somewhere far away, and who knows, find God, or, become God themselves. The possibility that it all has happened before, somewhere else in the vast infinite Universe is not so far fetched as you might think. But, we have our star wars capability armies to keep us safe.
Sleep well folks, Peace.
