Cults have sprung up since time immemorial, for too many reasons to mention, but most are to be attributed to religions of one kind or other. Bible clutching cults like this and similar find their roots in the scriptures from which they draw the lines which suit their objective i.e. power obsessed individuals or small conglomerates ironically always men, seeking power over people.
